In their answers, people talked about a person the most. I expressed the absence of precious beings such as close friend and family, whom we really do not want to lose, through a drawing work.
Although it has been very precious and valued memory, it became vague at some point, over time.
The work has been done by scratching a transparent acryl board by hand with needle, line by line, through a kind of etching work. To express the vagueness of a memory, water is used.
As a shadow drawing, whose clearness and size are decided by the lighting, the images are projected on a blank wall.
In the shadow drawing introduced in this exhibition, the pictures depicting the first day in the elementary school, school trip, and the house of one’s birth, all of which any Korean would have, are drawn so that the audience could recall their own.



잊어버린, 그래서 잃어버린 것들-입핟식_아크릴판에 바늘소묘, 물, 뷰렛, 조명_가변크기_ 2008 

사람들의 답변 중 가장 많은 것은 바로 사람에 관한 것이었다. 가까운 친구나 가족들과 같이 정말 잃어버려선 안 되는 소중한 존재들의 부재를 그림자를 이용한 소묘작업으로 나태냈다.
한때는 정말로 소중했고 아끼는 기억이었지만 시간이 흐르면서 어느 순간부터 기억조차 희미한...
투명 아크릴 판에 한선 한선 손 바늘로 스크래치를 넣는 일종의 에칭 작업으로,  기억의 희미한 느낌을 나타내기 위해 물을 사용했다.
조명에 의해 그림자의 선명도나 크기가 결정되는 그림자 드로잉으로 아무것도 없는 벽면에 투사된다.
이번 전시에서 선보이는 그림자 드로잉에선 우리나라 사람들이라면 누구나 가지고 있을 법한, 초등학교 입학사진과, 수학여행 사진 그리고 태어난 집을 선택, 그려 넣음으로써 보는 이로 하여금 자신의 것을 환기 시키고자 했다.
